Keto Bread vs. Paleo Bread

Keto and Paleo breads have some pretty good trade offs. Paleo offers typically lower calories like around 50 calories vs. 278 Keto calories. The carbs on both breads are the same at around 3 carbs. Paleo bread has around 1.5g of fat per slice whereas Keto bread has around 28 grams of fat. Now if you don't see the value in both breads, you need to rethink a few things. There will be many days you need to close a fat gap in your daily macros, and other days you will need to ease up on calories and fat and increase your fiber with Paleo bread.  The paleo con, however is cost. A small loaf of Paleo will come at a premium. Expect to pay on average of $13 dollars. So you see Paleo and Keto breads can very well shore up and balance your daily macros out very nicely, and probably even on the same day.

What are the best sweetners?

Image
What are the best sweetners? I'll start by saying, no to sugar, no to the blue, pink and yellow packets you so often see at every restaurant table.  These contain, saccharin, sucralose, maltodextrin or even aspertame.  As a side note products toting the "low carb" label, should be trained to look at the ingredients and see if you spot these mentioned ingredients.  Wheat gluten is also a no, like you might find in low carb tortillas. The correct answer is dependent on two factors: Does your sweetner have a glycemic index response?  If so, consider not using this product. To much of it, might trigger an insulin response.  Look for a Zero glycemic response Does it have an unsavory aftertaste?  Some users may like one sugar substitute vs. another. List of Sugar Substitutes: (Note: Erythritol and Mannitol have a zero glycemic index) Packet sweetners like Stevia Leaf, Truvia, and Sweet Leaf are good sweetners to use. Another popular o...

Getting Started

Getting Started Let's get started. First let's prepare your home. You have to make a decision.  Are you the meal preparer in the home?  Who is else is doing this with you?  Obviously it's easier if everyone that eats under your roof is going to do Keto too.  Can you do this diet if you have teenagers/kids that don't want any of this?  Yes you can, but understand that Keto is not a diet, but a way of life.  Once you begin, you will find yourself never wanting to go back to the old ways you used to eat.  We are going to rid your body of life robbing harmful elements that corporate America stole from you.  We are going to break the bonds of the lies that have been perpetuated all our lives.  It's not your parent's fault.  They were lied to as well.  Breakfast is not the most important meal of the day as Kellog's and the milk companies want you to believe. In seven days after I started Keto, I began to feel the following side e...

What can I eat on Keto?

What can I eat on Keto? First and foremost, you have to remember, the goal is to kill the poison known as sugar.  We are also killing gluten, while it's not proven the gluten is the total enemy, it is proven that the way the United States produces it in it's products is.  Breads, Wheat all contain a dangerous element called glyphosphate in them.  This is caused by this country's use of GMO products on our wheat productions.  Heavy use of herbacides, fungacides and pesticides are causing this problem and creating some serious health and gastro diseases manifest when consumed. What can't I eat: Pasta Rice Bread(s) Most fruits, some in moderation, like blueberries, watermelon. Sugars Sweeteners or "low carb" products containing (Sucralose, Maltodexterin, Aspertame, Wheat Gluten) What CAN I eat: Fish Meats including bacon. Vegetables, especially cruciferous types like Kale, Spinach are highly recommended.

What is Ketogenics?

What is Ketogenics? A ketogenic diet (keto) is a very low-carb diet, which turns the body into a fat-burning machine. It has many potential benefits for weight loss, health and performance, but also some potential initial side effects, while some will experience no side effects. A ketogenic diet is similar to other strict low-carb diets, like the Atkins diet or LCHF (low carb, high fat). These diets often end up being ketogenic more or less by accident. The main difference between strict LCHF and keto is that protein is restricted in the latter. A keto diet is designed specifically to result in ketosis. It’s possible to measure and adapt to reach optimal ketone levels for health, weight loss, or for physical and mental performance. Below, you can learn how to use keto to achieve your personal goals.
